Heather & Chris

We had a wonderful day last Saturday with Heather & Chris and the wedding party that didn't mind braving the cold on the golf course for some of the most incredible pictures. The details of the day perfectly represented Heather & Chris as they are a very elegant and caring couple. I think we made the trip from one side of Elmira to the other in record time. But in the end the pictures that we took were well worth the effort and time spent in the cool fall air. Although I understand that both Heather & Chris were sick for the Honeymoon.

I must admit one of our favorite images is of Heather as the girls bustled her beautiful gown.

For a quick slide show click on the link below.

Heather & Chris a few images of the day.

After Heather & Chris enjoy a few minutes in the studio looking at a few of the images we will update the link to all of their images.

Thanks again to Heather & Chris and both of their families for allowing us to be a part of a wonderful day.

Updates

It has been too long since our last update and I apologize as we have been so busy with work and life in general. We recently launched a second website dedicated to "Lifestyle" which is portraiture, seniors, intimates basically anything that is not wedding work. We have been lucky enough to have 2 seniors walk through our studio doors and they could both be on the cover of any Magazine.

Be sure to browse the new website as we are constantly adding new images as our studio and location work continues to grow.

Scott & John

This past weekend we had the privilege to photograph Scott and John's Wedding in Roxbury, NY.

We can't tell you how wonderful it was to see two people so in love and express how deeply they care for each other. Mark and I were honored we were asked to be a part of their day and we just had a blast throughout the day.

The ceremony was a wonderful mix of both Scott and John's tastes and heritage. It was refreshing to see such eclectic tastes for a ceremony. The vows that each of them spoke were so eloquent and moving that I don't think there was a dry eye in the place, including Mark and I.

Scott and John's plan of how they wanted this day to turn out was right on. Every detail from the table setting to flowers or even the food chosen was always just the right touch and the details were beautiful!

Words can't express the day we experienced with Scott and John. It was emotional, fun, beautiful, elegant and just an honor to be a part of. We can't wait to post the full collection of pictures from the day and I can't wait to design the album.

Sentiments Ribbon Cutting

We had are Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting last week and made the local newspaper. Here is the article and the great picture of Angela with the BIG Scissors.

Sayre, Pennsylvania July 16, 2008 -- Sentiments Photography is a new photography studio open for business to the local Valley and surrounding areas. The studio is located in the Enterprise Center of Sayre (703 South Elmer Ave, Suite 118). Sentiments is owned and operated by Mark and Angela Bakley, of Waverly. Services include weddings, seniors, portraits, maternity, sports and other events. Call 607-331-4676 to visit the studio, as it is by appointment only. For more information and to see samples of their work please visit www.sentimentsphoto.com .
Mark and Angela have been shooting professionally since 2001 when they started their business in Kansas City, MO. Mark & Angela have had the opportunity to photograph weddings and special events across the United States and the Caribbean.
“I loved Kansas City, but I wanted to raise our two daughters (Caitlin, 5, and Mia, 1) in a smaller community among friends and family. Angela and I are thrilled to be here and have some exciting plans to give back to the community in some amazing ways!” Mark said.
“I simply love what I do. Weddings are a blast because I develop a relationship with the bride and groom. We build a friendship that lasts well beyond the day of the wedding and then I design their albums which will be a family heirloom for years to come. I can’t wait to have the same experience with our new and future clients in and out of the studio.” stated Angela.
What makes Sentiments unique? It starts with the passion and commitment they give to each client. It is about connecting to the client and giving them not only excellent service, but more importantly the ultimate experience. Whether it is a full fledge fashion shoot, a walk in the park, or the most important day of your life, Mark & Angela strive for perfection.
“We try to create an artistic flare for every client,” said Mark and Angela. “We go to great lengths to make each person feel comfortable. It is important to work with our clients to establish their personality and what they expect allowing us to create images that not only tell a story but hang as fine art images in their home.”

Stacy and Chris TTD Session

We had a wonderful time with Stacy & Chris shooting a TTD (Trash the Dress) Session in Ithaca. It was only 90 degree's and 90% humidity in the park but what a great time and we have some beautiful pictures to share. This was a nice twist as Chris was right there enjoying the hike, 1 mile into the hike (up hill all the way) we found out we had another 1.5 miles before we reached the falls and Stacy & Angela were both in Flip Flops. So we turned around and did our shots in the woods with the BIGGEST FLY's I have ever seen (MANEATERS I TELL YA). Our thanks to Stacy & Chris we had a wonderful day even though it was a tad bit warm. We would like to thank our guest for a wonderful shoot in the studio this weekend. Our B-shoot was just great and we couldn't have asked for a better person to photograph. I'll drop a couple pics in here and more on the White Shirt Website.
